Health Business Blog week in review April 14-20, 2013

It was a pretty ugly workweek in Boston, with a bombing at the start and a lockdown at the end. Still, the Health Business Blog tried its best to maintain business as usual.

Posts this week included:

  • Podcast interview with Simplee co-founder Tomer Shoval about self-service payment platforms for patients
  • Commentary on a JAMA article that made the obvious point that hospitals can make more money when surgery leads to complications
  • A light-hearted post about Angie's List and the company's use of "project" to describe a medical episode. (They changed the language after seeing the post.)
  • Interview with Capsule's Stuart Long, regarding medical device connectivity
