Seniors begin to cotton to Medicare Drug Benefit

The Bush Administration’s campaign to promote the new Medicare Drug Benefit seems to be working. The Kaiser Family Foundation reports that:

Seniors are as likely have to a favorable opinion of the new prescription drug benefit as they are to have an unfavorable opinion

You’d expect seniors to show at least a bit more gratitude to President Bush considering his willingness to bankrupt the country on their behalf.

  1. Well, it’s complicated, has a huge gap in the middle, allows PBMs to create a formulary and it makes life hard for the dual-eligibles who may be worse off. What’s not to love? Leave it to Bush to bankrupt the country and create a bad benefit.
