“Expectations Management”

Expectation Management and Medical Information (EMMI) company Rightfield Solutions is featured in the Wall St. Journal today. As I’ve said before, this is a clever approach because it simultaneously educates patients about what to expect in surgery and protects providers from claims that patients weren’t informed of the risks. It’s much better approach than showing gory surgery videos.

The time is ripe for an active approach to risk management, and the company is generating a lot of enthusiasm among carriers, providers, and patients. I’ve been following this company closely for the past couple of years and like what I see.
