Mayo Clinic has developed a treadmill desk. I’m not kidding.Â Mayo tested the desk and found that by making people creep along at 1 mph while working they could increase the number of calories burned by about 100 per hour.
Someone could conceivably lose 66 pounds if they worked at the desk for a year. That’s a big if, I’m afraid.
Imagine how much weight someone could lose at 10 mph.
