How low can they go?

Just got this message from the Drug Information Association via email:

***Urgent Notice to Annual Meeting Attendees***

The Drug Information Association (DIA) has learned that companies, claiming to have some relationship with our association, are contacting our program participants to assist with hotel reservations in San Diego for the upcoming DIA 45th Annual Meeting. Please be advised that DIA has only one contracted and exclusive housing provider and that is Travel Planners. DIA does not have contracts with any other companies to manage hotel reservations in San Diego. The other companies may require that the reservations be fully prepaid, are non-refundable and may be subject to steep cancellation and change fees.

We urge you to make all room reservations for the DIA 45th Annual Meeting through the DIA Annual Meeting website or by calling Travel Planners directly at 1-800-221-3531 or 212-532-1660, Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 7 pm. Eastern Standard Time. DIA has 21 hotels in San Diego with sufficient room blocks to accommodate all of our attendees at the special DIA Convention Rates. Hotel rooms booked through Travel Planners require no prepayment and have no change or cancellation fees.

Please be assured that DIA is committed to providing you quality housing services to make your DIA Annual Meeting experience a positive one.
