If you’re free at 5:30 today, come join me in Cambridge, MA for a free Let’s Talk HIT event, sponsored by the RGL Group of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. (Registration is still open). I’ll be speaking about implications of the Supreme Court’s decision on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act for health care organizations.
I’ll start off with a refresher on the key tenets of the Affordable Care Act, lay out likely scenarios and discuss how health plans, employers and the states are likely to react. We’ll highlight opportunities to help health plans control their administrative costs to boost profits and meet medical loss ratio requirements, and talk about why employers are scared of the so-called Cadillac tax. We’ll discuss the future of public and private health insurance exchanges and how their fates may differ depending on what the Supreme Court does.
It will be a highly interactive session, and a lot of fun.
And even if none of this interests you there will be free pizza and beer.
