Worked up

Worked upAs you can probably tell, I've been a little too angry the past couple days to write much. I have an urge to personally investigate and report what happened to my friend in the hospital in Canada but realistically I don't think I'm going to be able to do that. Meanwhile I've written only what I know to be true about the circumstances, which isn't much since I wasn't with her.I wasn't really hoping for such direct confirmation of the various things I've posted about hospital safety such as Could it be twice as dangerous in Canada? (answer, yes) and Here's how we'll know when hospital safety and quality programs are working in which I wrote:

If you've ever accompanied a friend or relative during a hospitalization, you know the patient is lucky to emerge with his or her life, even if they went in with something relatively minor.

This case wasn't minor but it didn't necessarily have to be a death sentence either.
