If it's been three years you probably didn't need it anywayWaiting for my flight back from London and having a look through the Guardian. The Brits are known for not complaining about long queues, so the following may not be a surprise:
Some NHS patients in England are still waiting up to two years for anoperation, the government admitted yesterday... [H]ospitals are hitting [the]target for... patients to get a first outpatient appointment within 13 weeks ofbeing referred by a GP.But many then have to wait months for diagnostic tests and furtheroutpatient appointments before they are allowed to join the inpatient queue.After that, they can wait a further six months for an operation.

Anyone who survives that process may not need the operation anyway.
