Shopping around for best prices could kill you

New York State is close to requiring in state pharmacies to report prices of the 150 most commonly used drugs according to Newsday. The state would then create a website reporting the information.

Some pharmacists oppose the bill, arguing it could lead to harmful drug interactions in people who might wander from drugstore to drugstore, buying medications in various pharmacies to get the lowest price.

What's much more likely is that the stores will move to parity on drug pricing instead, as high-price pharmacies match their competitors.
