Ungrateful?

Republicans Find They Have to Sell Benefit Plan in Today's New York Times reports that Republicans, who "ought to be doing victory laps...because of the new Medicare drug benefit, accepting the gratitude of the nation's retirees" are instead having to fight off the perception that the plan is really a giveaway to the drug companies and insurance industries.Kind of ironic.I oppose the Medicare drug plan. I don't think it's a giveaway to drug companies and insurers, but I do think it's a rip-off to taxpayers and a giveaway to companies that can now shirk their retiree benefits.
