What the upwardly mobile are drinking
Breast fed infants have a tendency to move up in socieconomic class relative to their non-breast fed peers, at least in England and Scotland. From MedPage Today:
Breast milk may fuel high-octane social ambition, or so it seems. That's the conclusion of researchers here, who reviewed the lives of those in their 60s and 70s, and found that breastfed infants had been significantly more likely to climb above their social station as adults than those who had been bottle-fed.
The selfish conclusion could be to breast feed your own kids but encourage others not to breast feed theirs.
