MedAdNews (and me) on drug reimportation

It's been a while since drug reimportation has been big news, and that's not likely to change too soon according to a MedAdNews article (Importation debate on mute). I'm quoted extensively in the article, which you won't be able to access unless you have a subscription. I mention that drug reimportation is taking a back seat to the debate on universal health care and that the rollout of Medicare Part D has also taken some of the urgency out of the debate. Wal-Mart has done its part, too with the $4 generics program. However, if universal care ever actually comes into existence (which I'm not counting on) we can expect to see drug reimportation come to the fore as a cost saving measure.
