Patient safety pioneer Dr. Robert Wachter is Chief of the Medical Service at UCSF Medical Center and Dr. Arpana Vidyarthi is Director of Quality. They have recently re-engineered UCSF's medical peer review process and adopted an electronic platform from Acesis to make the process faster, safer and more objective.In Part I of our podcast interview, Vidyarthi and Wachter provide an overview of the traditional process and discuss their progress in shifting to a new, technology-enabled process.
