Podcast interview with Cleveland Clinic Chief Wellness Officer/RealAge author Dr. Michael Roizen

Dr. Michael Roizen is Chief Wellness Officer of the Cleveland Clinic and Chairman of  the Wellness Institute there. He's even better known for his best-selling RealAge books. He's been on Oprah 13 times and Good Morning America 24 times, but had not landed a spot on the Health Business Blog until now.In this podcast interview, Roizen discusses findings from the GE Better Health Study, which surveyed health care professionals and patients about their attitudes toward health and health care. The study delved into why patients sometimes avoid the doctor, what patients omit discussing in checkups, the disconnect between doctor and patient perspectives, the influence of pop culture on attitudes and behavior, and patients' knowledge (or lack thereof) of their personal health numbers.
