Interview with Halo Health CEO Jose Barreau

Jose Barreau had a fairly typical Cuban-American immigrant upbringing, and followed his father’s footsteps as a physician. He was impressed by his mom’s oncologist, whom he met in his early 20s. That experience helped him make the decision to specialize in the treatment of cancer.Dr. Barreau co-founded and director a major cancer institute in Ohio, which emphasized collaboration in clinical practice for the benefit of patients. But he became frustrated by the communications challenges and looked far and wide for a solution. Finding none that met the need, he co-founded Halo Health, which provides a cloud-based solution to unify all communication channels for efficient, role-based collaboration. It’s designed for clinicians by clinicians, while yielding a strong technical and financial return on investment.
