My idea of a loser
Kevin MD links to a story about the only concierge pediatrician in the nation. Dr. Scott Serbin cut his panel of patients from 2500 to 200. It appears he'd rather have 500 patients but not enough think he's worth it.As far as I'm concerned, concierge practices are a lame idea. As I've said here and here, I wouldn't go to a concierge physician who is more concerned about his lifestyle than about treating patients. There are better ways to improve service than to reduce the number of patients cared for by 90 percent.
