Interview with Codagenix CEO Rob Coleman

Rob Coleman grew up in a family of entrepreneurial scientists and down the street from the Cold Spring Harbor Lab. So it was a pretty straightforward path for Rob to go from youthful intern to co-founder and CEO of a synthetic biology company.

Codagenix melds live-attenuated virus design and codon de-optimization into a platform suitable for developing vaccines and viral therapies. Notably, the company’s COVID vaccine is entering Phase III. It’s an intranasal vaccine that can be stored in the refrigerator, and has the potential to be a game changer. Also in development are a universal flu vaccine, and earlier stage candidates for Yellow Fever, Dengue and Zika.

Rob is a reader, currently enjoying Go Dog Go (with his young son) by P.D. Eastman and Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman.
